William Gotwald Strine lived here in 1930 with his wife Rosa Ada (Zong) and daughter Dorothy. He
operated a filling station and small store, as can be seen in the picture. He also managed the Milton Sanitary Cleaning Company. The home was located on property formerly owned by Mathias Strine, a builder of canal boats in Milton. The stack of the Milton Electric Light Company can be seen above the house. The train is on the Philadelphia & Reading line, which crosses the river behind the house.
