This picture was taken from the top of the Hotel Haag. It shows the west side of S Front St. looking south down the river. The buildings starting from the right are the First National Bank at no. 42; the Goodlander building at 46-50 with a barber shop, leather goods store, and tailor on the first floor and the Milton Opera House on the second floor; the Phillips Block / James F. Kennedy building at 52-58 with grocery, clothing, plumbing and shoe repair stores; and art and jewelry stores at 60 and 62 to the alley. The stack is on the water company pumping station.
