The temporary buildings are in what is now Lincoln Park, at the end of Broadway, next to the river. The home visible beyond the temporary buildings belonged to William H. Hackenberg, a prominent attorney. It was located at 2-4 N. Front St., and can be seen here. The sign near the street is for the Miltonian newspaper and a tobacco stand.
